Balboa in Stuttgart

Stuttgart’s bal scene is thriving – and we realized it was time to share it with you. On a regular week in Stuttgart, you can dance Balboa at socials on four different evenings. And we’re lucky to have a strong music scene here that is motivated to play more for dancers. Often once a week there is a live music social. Stuttgart has a history as a Jazz city and we are building on that musical connection.

And Stuttgart apart from dancing?

Stuttgart, generally little known, has a lot to offer. In Stuttgart, high-tech engineering meets vineyards and beautiful country. It offers great views over the city, some from cozy beer gardens, some more secluded; modern architecture in the Bauhaus Weißenhof neighbourhood and of course lots of engineering (Mercedes Museum, Porsche Museum, … ). We have various activities planned for you to experience Stuttgart and get to know your fellow Balboa dancers.

We’ve put lots of thought into a concept for this exchange, and we think you’re going to be pleased. Lots of parties and live music. Class electives and a DJ workshop. And, of course, options for social activities in and around town.

Our concept: Dancing and getting to know other dancers – presenting local quality to an international audience

Do you wonder what the SBX logo is about? It shows the Stuttgart radio tower, which can be seen towering on a hill over the city. It was the first of its kind worldwide when it was opened in 1956 and is still a popular destination for a visit today. You can enjoy the view and even dine 144 m above ground.
